As electric vehicles become more common, having a properly installed Level 2 EV charger at home provides faster, more convenient charging while ensuring your electrical system can safely support the additional load.

Before installing an EV charger, we assess the available capacity of your electrical service and panel. In many homes, a service upgrade may not be necessary. An EV Energy Management System (EVEMS) can monitor the electrical demand of the home and automatically manage power available to the EV charger.

When household electrical demand is high, the EVEMS temporarily reduces or interrupts EV charging. Once sufficient electrical capacity becomes available again, charging automatically resumes. This allows many homeowners to install Level 2 EV charging without unnecessarily upgrading their electrical service.
